Garmin GPSMAP 1222 is a first-class plotter developed for those who want maximum overview and precision out on the water. The large 12-inch screen is combined with a fast and easy-to-use interface where programmable buttons and a smooth multi-function controller make navigation simple and effective in all situations.

The bright color screen offers wide viewing angles and high clarity, which means you can easily read information even in bright sunlight. The built-in 10 Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver updates position and heading ten times per second, providing a responsive and accurate navigation experience.

The GPSMAP 1222 comes with a global basemap and is compatible with premium charts such as Garmin Navionics+™ and Vision+™ (optional). With support for Auto Guidance+™, you get intelligent route suggestions that make planning both easier and safer.

The plotter is fully integrated into your boat system via Garmin's marine network as well as NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183. You can share charts, radar, sonar and user data between multiple devices while simultaneously gaining instant access to important engine information such as RPM, fuel consumption, temperature and trim.

Select models in the series support advanced sonar features, including CHIRP, ClearVü™ and SideVü™, as well as compatibility with Panoptix™ and LiveScope™ (transducers sold separately), which provides a detailed view of the environment below and around the boat.

For sailors, Garmin SailAssist™ offers features such as laylines, polar tables and wind data to help you optimize your sailing. For anglers and precise positioning, there is support for integration with trolling motors and Power-Pole® systems, providing advanced anchoring and boat steering capabilities.

You can easily transfer waypoints, tracks and routes between devices via GPX format and also communicate via compatible inReach® devices directly from the chartplotter.
